Carissa DeLaine graduated from the USC School of Dramatic Arts, where she took classes in acting, musical theatre, film and television, as well as voice over work. She is proud to have studied with some amazing professors, including John Rubenstein, Vicki Lewis, Mary Joan Negro, and Joseph Hacker.

Recently in the theatrical world, Carissa was seen in The Underground Theatre's production of 7 Shorties, where she played Annie in Suzanne Bradbeer's heartbreaking Okoboji.

Carissa was also selected out of almost two hundred applicants for The Phantom Project's 11th Annual Young Artist Project at the La Mirada Theatre. This is an experience unlike any other: in the course of two weeks (day one being meet and greet, and day fourteen being the final performance) six artists must create, direct, and put on a performance. Carissa was involved in the writing process, costuming, as well as starring as one of the two leads in the romantic comedy they created.

Carissa studied abroad in Paris for a semester, living with a host family who barely spoke English, and now she considers herself "almost fluent in French." (She blames verb conjugation and colloquialism for not being fluent).

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest (which she has lovingly nicknamed the PacNor), Carissa is a self proclaimed cat lady, a How I Met Your Mother enthusiast, and a lover of any and all desserts.
